Tel Aviv ….so hot! right now
Breathing new life into an abandoned and dilapidated building in the Tel Aviv harbor area is exactly what Pitsou Kedem Architects have done, creating a new home for Italia B&B one of the worlds finest furniture brands. The 11 meter high structure with a unique façade consisting of a line of pillars that creates a clear and well defined construction grid, which was used by the designer as the base for the entire outer shell. The space is both powerful and yet restrained at the same time allowing the furniture to take center stage whilst the building provides a breathtaking backdrop to inspire. The successful selection of unprocessed materials such as concrete and rusted iron delivers a minimalistic and restrained look whist paying homage to the original building.I can just imagine spending hours walking around this awe inspiring space.
