Bachelor in Brazil

The conversion of this former family home into an expansive and modern space for a bachelor has resulted in a stunning apartment in Sao Paulo. FCstudio are responsible for the conversion and through cleverly removing walls and a powder room they have introduced a TV room and the kitchen into the main living area.

In creating a new identity for the space, one goverened by horizontality, FCstudio have opted for a paired back materials palate of concrete, steel and timber with the effect of providing a muted backdrop for the owner to display their vibrant furniture and belongings. In achieving this, the studio has exposed the structural beams and designed custom timber shelving which work together to give the apartment a quiet characteristic of its own.  That is to saying nothing of the unique blue kitchen! As far as bachelor pads go, this one is not half bad!
