Resort in House – Vietnam

Designed as an antithesis to the bourgeoning urban-sprawl and resulting cramped, enclosed and boring architecture throughout Vietnam, this house, designed by ALPES Green Build & Design is an open, free-flowing and spacious home that works to actively provide all the right elements for family life.

A central void, starting with the 9 metre pool at the bottom and ending on the roof top garden, works as an axis for the whole building with open staircases and bridges moving the occupants from level to level and room to room while maintaining the connection to the abundance of greenery throughout and the world beyond.

Through the use of materials such as concrete, brick and glass and by incorporating louvres, perforated walls and skylights, the architects have created a home that is protected from the, at times, harsh weather conditions yet allows the right elements to stream in – fresh air & light – to enhance the lives of the family that live there.
