A place amongst the Poplars

Alexander Place is a Grade II listed Georgian terrace, sitting in the heart of swanky South Kensington, London. Nestled amongst a Poplar lined street, the listed exterior required the deft hand of Minale + Mann to fineness the renovation.

Redefining the internal space typologies to a more contemporary layout, Minale + Mann have created a generous family home. The design resolution has focused on introducing contemporary interior elements but maintaining the historical significance of the heritage listed property.

Simple joinery details, classic contemporary lighting from Apparatus Studio and the injection of Manale + Mann’s signature industrial aesthetic comfortably move this house into its next phase of life. I love the interpretation of the classic English conservatory here as a kitchen in blackened steel opening views skyward to the tree lined exterior.
