Richard Misso Editor and Publisher

We started Design Addicts platform to explore and share great design from Australia and around the globe. We endeavour to keep you up to date with what’s going on locally and internationally and at the end of the day we are simply writing about what we love. You can rest assured that what you read on Design Addicts platform is what we honestly believe and its not there because someone’s paid us. We’ve worked hard to put together a team of people whose opinions and judgement are valuable; they work in design and live it daily.

Design Addicts platform was selected by SingTel to be a content supplier for NewsLoop, a content rich news aggregator app that is rated as the most downloaded news app across Asia Pasific. Design Addicts is in great company supplying articles alongside the BBC, The Guardian, Design Milk, Curbly and Apartment Therapy delivering Design Addicts platform to 1 million readers a month!

We are humbled by the love shown in Australia and our ever-growing international readers.

Please subscribe for regular updates.

Cheers,

Richard Misso Editor of Design Addicts platform

Brendan Guy contributing Design Addict

Brendan Guy – Being a contributing design addict I am constantly searching for the new, the sublime and the exciting. A vagabond and frustrated minimalist at heart, I am endlessly travelling and am drawn to interiors that put on a performance, that declare the personalities of those using the space and those which aren’t afraid to have fun. It is an honour to be writing for design addicts and to have the chance to connect with you all.

Nic Kaiko contributing Design Addict

Nic Kaiko contributing Design Addict

Nicholas Kaiko Good design has always been my passion and in my mid 20’s I decided to follow a dream and return to university to study what I love – and it has changed my life!
A recent graduate of Design Centre Enmore, Design Institute of Australia graduate designer of the year nominee and whilst working whist working for one of Australia’s most celebrated design studios, so contributing to Design Addicts has been a massive thrill. I am a concept driven designer and my personal aesthetic could be described as masculine, functional and tailored. I am constantly feeding my creativity with inspired imagery. I am obsessed by travel and try to do it at least twice a year. I see travel as an investment in my creative brain. We live our lives in it, so why not make it beautiful – addicted to design! Ella Lee Cansdell In no specific order, (for me) there are three things definitely worth getting out of bed for – design, travel and food. Having designed for many years at one of Australia’s award winning interior design studios, I turned my design sensibilities to travel and launched Butler by the Sea. Everybody deserves a holiday, designers especially; I am delighted to be a contributing design addict and am excited to be bringing you a collection of hotels, resorts & spas that I personally love.

Lena Zacharek

Lena Zacharek

Lena Zacharek – Having the good fortune to grow up in a family of architects, designers, and master craftsmen in beautiful Australian State of Tasmania was guaranteed to instil an innate appreciation of and addiction to nature, beauty, and design.  An inquisitive traveller, I endeavour to experience and learn from as many cultures, people, and designs modes as possible.  As well as inspiring and grounding my own holistic, purposeful, and sustainable architectural and interior designs, as a Design Addict platform contributor I look forward to sharing my passion with you.  I am driven by a belief that we can have it all; that design adds to our quality of life and it can be functional as well as fun, beautiful and provocative.
