From huge 3D projections on the iconic Sydney Opera House, Customs House and Museum of Contemporary Art Australia to interactive light art sculptures, giant glowing dandelions, fiber optic sea grass and animatronic dancing lamps, this year’s lighting at Vivid Sydney has once again transformed Sydney into a colourful playground of light.From 6pm to midnight every night until Monday June 11th, there are free light shows with over 50 interactive and immersive light art sculptures, illuminated skyscrapers and large scale projections around The Rocks, Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and Walsh Bay.With artists, selected from all over the world, The Vivid Sydney light show stretches from the Sydney Opera House all the way around to Dawes Point and continues in Walsh Bay.Vivid Sydney is a major celebration of the creative industries and the biggest festival of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting over 400,000 attendees….. what a great way to enjoy the city of Sydney without breaking the budget.
