meat, blood stains & the sent of fresh flowers

Situated in the still active meat packing district of New York where the smell of rancid meat and blood stains line the street lives a little flower shop. De-Spec design studio set out to convert an old storage space into a flower shop creating a strong juxtaposition from the neighbouring businesses.
The space is laid out to provide a surprize destination escaping the street whist the fresh floral aroma brings relief from the neighbourhood. Work stations blend and become display ares but what I really love about this space is that after hours the store transitions to an events venue. Very sleek.
