Last week in Sydney Bondi Junction we saw the launch of much anticipated, POTTERY BARN, WILLIAMS-SONOMA, WEST ELM, POTTERY BARN KIDS. The night was relaxed and easy. The invited guests toured around the four stores, starting with West Elm then Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and finally Williams Sonoma, in a quick 20 minute tour. Maggie Beer along with other leading foodies was in our tour group…. lucky us! Having only finished construction a few hours before the opening that morning, the stores looked amazing. At the final store, Williams Sonoma, we were treated to a cocktail party attended by top architects, interior designers, editors and the Williams Sonoma executives. At the cocktail party we were entertained by a cooking demonstration in the culinary school – a first worldwide for the Williams Sonoma family! Everyone stayed late into the night and enjoyed the famous American service standards from the Williams Sonoma team. Apart from the wonderful merchandise watching the chefs in action whipping up salted-caramel soufflé, which we all got to eat was a definite highlight!
what is – THE WEST ELM EXPERIENCE
Since it launched in 2002, West Elm has been helping people express their personal style at home with authentic, affordable, and approachable products. Each season, West Elm’s talented in-house team of designers creates a collection that can’t be found anywhere else, and works with artists and independent designers globally and locally to develop collaborations that are exclusive to the brand. The brand also offers handmade and one-of-a-kind discoveries from around the world, working closely with organisations that support the development of global craft communities and artisan skills. An increasing number of West Elm products are marked “West Elm Green” – a label that proudly indicates responsibly produced, organic, recycled, rapidly renewable, or non-toxic products. Amazing …. right!
