We all know the Swede’s are famous for their vodka and meatballs but no one can deny that design also runs deep within their veins. The Radisson Blue Riverside in Gothenburg is a business hotel with a difference. It appears that not one space is the same yet they all work so well as a collective. A real mixture of materials and finishes have been applied to create a truly unique and warm interior experience. The city is considered a scientific hub and Doos Architects have paid tribute to this with a blackboard of equations etched in chalk around the bar front as well as a wallpaper graphic inside the hotel rooms that depicts the human DNA structure. The bright copper cladding of the self-serve coffee station creates a prominent feature in the foyer and old world charm is reflected throughout. This is certainly not a predictable hotel interior and we love that Doos Architects haven’t left a surface uncovered!
