With a finishes palette to inspire and graphics to love, it’s no wonder this new comer has been shortlisted for the UK 2013 restaurant & bar design awards. We’ve all seen subway tiling before but we love the combination of the plain white tiles against the stucco concrete walls, weathered white washed timber and painted black & white chequered flooring. The colours used on the ‘fresh fish daily’ stencilled typography marry beautifully with the red and blue furniture legs and are clever way of incorporating a strong brand message. These same colours are also reflected in the pendant lights and electrical cables of the wall lights. Just when you think every wall has been covered, custom made wallpaper has been especially designed to appear as old fashioned newspaper to pay homage to the good old days when fish & chips were wrapped up in the daily news. It’s these overall details that make this interior a success story and an eatery worth the visit – if you are in London town!
