Untouched

Here is a space we just love!  All of our favourite materials and finishes combined together to create a truly honest and welcoming interior. Located in the heart of London’s bustling Carnaby Street, new restaurant Whyte & Brown was brought together by international design studio Blacksheep. We feel there is the perfect mix of light and shade, industrial and new and soft and hard finishes. The splashes of green used in the upholstery and glassware bring the right amount of colour to lift what could be seen as a bland interior. Exposed ceilings and existing concrete floors were left untouched as a way of paying respect to the bones of the building. Whilst simple building materials such as reinforcement bars and scaffolding planks have been used to divide the larger upstairs space into smaller more intimate areas. Everyone knows that a great restaurant interior needs an equally exciting bathroom and a trip to the loo here certainly isn’t a let down. A custom polished concrete basin is perfectly complemented by handmade black tiles and rustic chain pendants. The concept behind the food is all about taking everyday ingredients and transferring them into amazing dishes, we feel the interior has flawlessly reflected this ethos.
