Tunquen House, located 160 km from the city of Santiago Chile, nests on the clifftops perched 50 meters above sea level. It is defined as a single volume of white concrete which is divided into three areas. The main area houses the living room, dining and kitchen, leaving at one end the master bedroom and its services, and at the other the guest and children’s bedrooms.
The gusty climatic conditions that come with living by the ocean give-way to the living area courtyard that serves multiple functions providing shelter from the wind, in connection with the view and the interior of the house. A relaxing weekender … well relaxing if you don’t have kids. #nosafetyrails !
