Party Animal

When a self-proclaimed party animal with a love for 60s and 70s design hires an interior designer to give their pad a complete makeover the results are bound to be amazing. New York firm Curated were approached to create the ultimate bachelor’s pad in this 19th century Tribeca loft with the brief that the everything had to be “party-proof.” The firm’s response to this was to not only to make the apartment bulletproof, but to ensure that the client’s personality resonated in every room.

The bold, grounded and masculine use of colour is the immediate impression in the loft with dark and moody tones intermixed with deep colours to create atmosphere but also to meet the brief of durability – dark colours wear better than light. With the client’s love (and knowledge) of 60s and 70s furniture, the designers were able to source a collection of furniture that not only typified the era but also gave the best use for each space. Commercial grade fabrics for enlisted to ensure the new purchases stood up to even the wildest night.

This interior is an exceptional response from unique client brief and I certainly wouldn’t mind getting an invite to party here!
