Observation house

The aptly named Observation house is located on a hill in the highest corner of a agriculture village in Northeast Bulgaria. Distinguished both by its panoramic views and distant visibility.

Designed by I/O Architects the proportion and the solid base give it the appearance of an infrastructural building taking inspiration form the village. The interior space is dominated by local species timber cladding, which balances the roughness of the entire structure and its surroundings.Whist the pitched roof connects the upper space with the base and adds complexity in the interior space.

Over-sized eaves connect the floating room to the meadow and exaggerate the hovering effect of the slim metal and glass structure offering up 360 degree views and privacy. I just can’t get enough of this stunning home!
